Coach, Men’s Artistic Gymnastics

Göteborgs Turn is looking for a coach in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics who has both great technical skills and - equally important - a coaching philosophy based on athlete centered coaching. This job involves both being on the floor with the gymnasts, as well as planning practice and competition and developing the discipline together with and in close cooperation with the other coaches.
Initially a one year assignment while our Head Coach of MAG is on paternity leave but with likely opportunity to extend after this period.
Start date: August 1st or as soon as possible.
Tasks:
- Together with the existing coaching team train our high level gymnasts
- Plan practices, competitions and camps
- Participate in competitions and training camps
- Be a part in developing the organization for Men’s artistic gymnastics in line with the board’s vision.
We believe that you are
- A competent leader with several years of experience as a coach within Men’s artistic gymnastics
- A team-player who is a natural communicator and easily builds good relationships with gymnasts, colleagues and parents
- Educated coach within male artistic gymnastics at minimum FIG level 2 or equivalent
- Able to communicate in the Swedish or English language
- An organized and independent person
- Flexible regarding working hours as most classes are set in afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Passionate about gymnastics and each gymnast’s individual
development
- Having a basic knowledge of MAG code of points and judging system
- Having knowledge and experience from WAG or teamgym is also a merit as the coaches work in close collaboration in the club as a team.
For this role we offer 7 weeks paid vacation, fitness reimbursement, normal pension / insurance agreement in Sweden and a salary set at a good market rate in Sweden.

About Göteborgs Turn
Formed 1932, with a long history of successful gymnasts.
Today around 700 members and good/stable finances. around 50 in MAG, 50 WAG, 210 Team gym and we also have childrens gymnastics, adult groups and personal training. The club has been growing for the past 10 years.
Göteborgs Turn is a key part of the national gymnastics high school program in Gothenburg. The club has gymnasts competition at all levels and in different national development groups including Junior National Team. Today 3,6 employed coaches plus 75 coaches that help out PRO-Bono / hourly wages.
Most members are from Torslanda in Gothenburg and we have most of our training in Torshallen sports hall. MAG/WAG also train in Gymnastikens Hus (the gymnastic associations hall in Gothenburg)
